ABC Rising Star Award

Hayden Phillips joined M&D Mechanical Contractors in 2018 after graduating from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Throughout his tenure at M&D, he has become an invaluable resource for the entire M&D organization.

Each year, ABC of North Alabama presents one young professional within the construction industry with the Rising Star Award. This award celebrates an individual under 40 who exemplifies excellence within their role. M&D is honored to have one of its own be the 2020 recipient of such an accolade.

“Hayden has shown a real aptitude for our work. He catches on quickly and is always ready for the next challenge. He has a great future in our industry,” said Alan Schollian, former M&D president.

Over the last year, Phillips has been a valued member of the Alabama Building & Construction (ABC) of North Alabama Young Professionals group and has had the opportunity to learn and network with his contemporaries.

“I’m a big advocate of the program and the networking opportunities it has given me and us (M&D). I appreciate the opportunity to be part of it,” says Phillips.

The leadership team at M&D strongly believe Hayden Phillips is well-deserving of such recognition as he is absolutely considered one of M&D’s rising stars!
