M&D Mechanical recently completed the installation of the plumbing, HVAC, and medical gas systems for the newly-opened Madison Hospital. This 198,000 square foot facility houses 60 patient rooms, five O.R. suites, labor and delivery rooms, imaging equipment, and a full emergency department.
In 2012, M&D Mechanical Contractors began construction on a 42-acre site located in the Mallard Fox Creek Industrial Park in Decatur, Alabama for POLYPLEX International. On this project, M&D fabricated and installed over 70,000 pounds of HVAC ductwork that will furnish conditioned air throughout a 145,000 square foot manufacturing facility.
NASA at Marshall Space Flight Center decided to revitalize their central chilled water plant with underground distribution piping to various buildings. For this project, M&D worked with NASA to replace the 1250 ton of existing chillers with new 1250 ton chillers as well as smaller 350 ton chillers which required smaller pumps as well.
